There are a growing number of homeschool co-ops, online communities and support programs across Australia. Many of these are interest-led, however some co-ops may have activities that attendees are expected to participate in, so ask around and see if you can do a trial visit to see if it's a good fit.

Students who are interested in a specific school subject, sport, club or other extra-curricular activity may request to attend a specific school or activity. As long as these are guided by the student's choice, these can fit into a self-directed education. Talk to the principal about a flexible arrangement or part-time enrolment where students only attend for these activities. This also applies for Distance Education.
The Australian Alliance for Flexible and Inclusive Education lists some flexi-schools on the AAFIE website. While a criteria for the AAFIE map is that "young people can attend by choice", keep in mind that these programs have to get students to meet certain criteria as they "offer general education at secondary school level" and therefore do not meet all of the Six Optimizing Conditions of a fully interest-led, self-directed education.
Many flexi-schools are for high schoolers only and employment support programs are often for ages 15+. These can easily be found with a quick Google Search.
